Okay I am obsessed with Grissoms Overture at the moment (I've done a poem and am making a musicvideo with it) so I'd have to go with that.

somethingorother happens... Sara has just threatened to leave CSI for good and she goes home to pack... Grissom-realizing this, kinda freezes... then a look of realization comes over him and he rushes from the lab-jumps into his car and starts driving determidly to her home (all the while Grissoms Overture is playing) he looks very worried while hes driving. Neway he slams to a stop outside wherever Sara lives and the music has gone past that airy part and is speeding up to that tempo and when it hits, Grissom has a flashback of every single moment they've had together (in other words, exactly what my poem says) and while he's backflashing, he runs up to her door, knocks, she answers, he says something, and...........
...........fade to black, leaving us all in suspence! mwahahahaaaa

I think even the music alone... without the words is a statement.

Something lively and upbeat which has a CSI style to it.
I liked the fact that when Syd and Vaughn had their moment on Alias... it was to an upbeat Coldplay song. One of my favorites. Slow "romantic" songs dont really say CSI to me... well unless they are just really REALLY good. But for the GSR there are plenty that could work.

For specifically the "pin me down" scene I would have to vote for Damaged by Plumb. :thumb:

i know at an alias website (the safehouse/vartanhos) they've got a wishlist of songs people want played. everyone's gets posted and then a little smily face shows up beside it if someone's elected song ever does get played, we could do that. its quite doable.

Hi! Long time lurker, first time poster. I've been listening to Maroon 5's new CD 'Songs about Jane' over and over again for the past week and have decided they might as well rename it 'Songs about Sara' because every song on the album relates in one way or another to GSR. From their pre-Vegas relationship to things that have only been written in fanfic I think it is a must have for any shipper!

That's funny - I love that CD and was just listening yesterday. And I too have thought that most of the songs could be talking about Sara. (face simply b/c I'm in such a 'feel bad for Sara' mood)

I loved that song The Quiet Things that No One Knows by Brand New,and I thought of a kinda GSR moment there,especially at the chorus.....

I'm liking "The Other Side Of Life" by The Moody Blues for the pivotal moment when Grissom INITIATES a night of passion with Sara (I CAN HOPE!! lol ).

I like the song because:

1. it's sorta long almost 7 min. (good! :thumb: )
2. the music seems to fit the feel of CSI (kinda mysterious)
3. it has a great backbeat to it for a passionate kiss or MORE!! (please oh please let there be a 'more' someday!)
4. the lyrics seem appropriate since G/S deal with death so much; especially IMO the first line of the chorus

I'll post the lyrics and I recommend if you've never heard the song find it and listen to it with your eyes closed. Just picture Grissom and Sara. I really think it could so work as a pivotal scene background song. Seriously.

I think that a good song for them would be "Can't Fight This Feeling Any More" By REO Speedwagon.

A friend of mine recommended a song to me yesterday, and for some odd reason I totally saw it being used as BG Music for a G/S scene. It’s got a very mainstream pop feel to it, but there’s enough of an edge to the singers’ voices that I think it may sit very well on this show. And it has the "mainstream enough for TV" vibe to it.
It's not my usual music, but somehow I like the slightly upbeat angstiness to it. The lyrics aren't necessarily directly applicable (though I can think of a few scenerios in which they would work <G>), but there they are anyways....
